FINANCIAL ADVANTAGES
As a member of Alberta Pharmacy Co-op, you share in the profits!
Every time you fill a prescription the pharmacy makes money. It does
not matter who pays for the prescription, the pharmacy makes the same
amount. As the member-owner, you will share in the profit generated
by all of your prescriptions filled by receiving a patronage dividend
from the Co-op.
The patronage dividend has been set at 10% for 2008.
Examples:
1. You are covered by an insurance plan
that pays for 80% of your prescriptions.
You have a prescription that costs $200. Your insurance pays $160, and
you pay $40.
You would receive a patronage dividend of $20, (10% of the $200 prescription).
